We want to extend our thanks to our 116 donors and 34 ambassadors who helped make the Academics at Risk campaign a huge success. Together we exceeded our target and raised £24,753.

The CARA Fellowship Programme supports academics who are at risk in their home countries with two-year fellowships at a British university. With a substantial one to one matching fund from an anonymous donor to Wolfson, we met our goal to sustain the funding for an academic and their family to stay at Wolfson in safety with CARA's support.

In this lecture, Professor Tarje Nissen-Meyer will elaborate on how seismology has come a long way from constraining seismicity and Earth's interior. He will motivate this lecture with the developments of modern seismological inquiry, leading to our work on Earth's dark matter and extraterrestrial life.

The Jon Stallworthy Poetry Prize was set up in memory of the late Professor Jon Stallworthy (1935-2014), poet and Fellow of Wolfson College, and is open to any student currently enrolled in postgraduate studies at the University of Oxford. The funding for the prize has been provided by generous donations to the English Faculty and to Wolfson College, Oxford from Old Possum's Practical Trust and from the Derek Hill Foundation (with thanks to Lord Gowrie).
