Travelling back to Wolfson

Last updated: 12 April 2021

Please note the information on this page only applies to Wolfson students currently residing in Oxford.

Arrangements for students in Oxford

Travelling internationally carries more risk of disruption and expense due to international travel restrictions, so you are advised to take this into consideration when deciding whether to travel.

If you live in a part of the UK where there are community LFD testing facilities available, you are asked to take one of these before returning to Oxford. On arrival in Oxford, all returning students will be asked to take two (further) LFD tests, the first on day 1 of your arrival. You will not be asked to attend any in-person teaching until you have undertaken two negative tests. You will be asked to record the results of your Oxford LFD tests as usual on the University's testing system. Further testing is then expected for all students and staff throughout the term. Anyone returning to Oxford under this scheme from overseas will need to follow government requirements for isolation and testing.

For Wolfson students, single test kits for departure are now available from the Lodge. Where possible please collect your kit in person as they need to be registered to you individually—please remember to bring your Bod card as this is essential for the registration of the kit! If you are unable to collect in person please contact the Lodge to agree alternative arrangements in advance, as test kits cannot be posted. Test kits for those returning will be available to collect after Easter. Please only collect a kit if you intend to use it and remember to record your result as we will be required to follow up on any results not recorded.

LFD tests are only for people with no symptoms. If you have any symptoms please isolate immediately and book a test with the University Testing Service. Please remember that LFD tests are not 100% accurate, especially for negative results. So please continue to take the necessary precautions, including wearing face coverings and maintaining social distance, even if you get a negative result.
