Alex is a mathematical biologist, having completed a PhD in applied mathematics at the Queensland University of Technology in 2021. Following a brief postdoctoral and lecturing position at the same institution, he joined the Mathematical Institute at Oxford as a Hooke Research Fellow in 2022. An interdisciplinary researcher with both theoretical and wet-lab experience, he applies techniques from mathematics, statistics, and experimental science to draw insight into biological phenomena.
