Dr Albert Sanghoon Park is a Lecturer in the Department of International Development and a Supernumerary Fellow at Wolfson College, University of Oxford. Albert’s research interests lie at the intersection of global history, politics, and public policy. Specifically, he examines international linkages between development policy and academic theory to study the politics of knowledge production. Shedding light on a hidden layer of geopolitics, it opens a deeper understanding of policy dilemmas, collective action problems, and tragic outcomes faced in international cooperation and development. His latest collaborative project examines governmental and intergovernmental approaches to resilience policy in sustainable development. Its primary aim is to identify and maximise opportunities to advance climate governance amidst rising geopolitical tensions and complex risks. Albert holds a BSc (MIT) in Materials Science and Engineering and a MPhil, PhD (Cambridge) in Development Studies. His research is motivated, in part, by five years spent working in global trade, manufacturing, and investments.
