Oh wow, what a fest! Last Saturday Wolfson saw a truly thrilling night with the Winter Ball: A Celestial Night. Over 500 people enjoyed this glamorous party until the break of dawn.

The night started with a dinner held in the beautifully decorated Hall. After that the Ball proper started with a cocktail bar, casino and cigar lounge in the Upper Common Room. The programme in the Hall kicked off with jazz and swing by Corner Jam followed by the sweat-breaking ceilidh band Mouse and Trousers. For those seeking the College undergrounds, the mini golf area in the bar proved highly popular.

One of the biggest highlights of this night must have been our in-house entertainment rockstars, The Howlin' Wolves. People couldn't get enough of their energetic performance so they had to extend their playtime by over half an hour. Great job, guys!

By this time the guests had burned so many calories that the late-night food provided by the kitchen staff and the Swiss raclette team were a welcome power up. Thanks to Tony and Matteo and their teams.

This year's Ball had a fulminating final with the blasting sounds of DJ Tk Paul delivering an incredibly non-silent disco. This last dance under the stars enchanted the crowd until the last minute so we had problems fitting everyone into the survivor's photo at 4 in the morning.

Big kudos go out to our DJs Enno in the UCR and Nazim in the mini golf bar that delivered sensational performances. The Ball committee would also like to thank Kylash for his guitar performance and our squad of brave bar workers.
