Wolfson student Rose Stair turned out to be a legend in the baking with her Wolfson Crest Victoria sponge, buttercream and iced vanilla shortbread cake.

The Wolfson Welfare team (also known as the Welfies) organised a Wolfson Baking competition which turned out to be a great success. Participants were asked to bake, and creatively decorate, their delicious creations and share their picture(s) on the Wolfson Facebook Group. Three winners were chosen based on the amount of likes they received.

Choosing between so many creative submissions was not, in fact, a piece of cake. The top three bakers who won a special prize are Rose Stair, for her College crest out of Victoria sponge, buttercream and iced vanilla shortbread with 198 likes; Sekoha Kwon-Salkin for the crest decorated with rose-shaped nectarines and pears, with 193 likes; and Sophia Backhouse for Jack's first student card lemon drizzle cake with 121 likes.

The Welfies added, "Thank you for spreading colours, beauty, joy and good will through your creativity. Thank you for reminding us that we are a part of a college community separated temporarily physically but still experiencing these unusual times together as members of Wolfson College."
