‘USK 1231CD', the new release from the winners of the 2013 Parkhouse Award, includes performances of outstanding presence and vitality.

Group members Sulki Yu (violin), Pei--Jee Ng (cello) and Chiao-Ying Chang (piano) regularly perform at the College, most recently in March of this year. When describing the experience of performing in the trio, Chiao-Ying likened it to working on “’a canvas of a painting, and we are like three artists painting a picture together.”

However, do not be deceived by how easy she makes it seem to play so beautifully. Chiao-Ying has recently been elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).

Their recital will feature Astor Piazzolla ‘Summer' from Four Seasons, a Timothy Salter Piano Trio written for the trio and Robert Schumann's Piano Trio No. 3 in G Minor, Op 110. Tickets can be purchased from the Oxford Playhouse, (01865 305305) or on the door.
