Artists-in-Residence, the Fournier Trio, will be launching their new CD at an evening recital on Sunday 14 June in the Leonard Wolfson Auditorium.

‘USK 1231CD’, the new release from the winners of the 2013 Parkhouse Award, includes performances of outstanding presence and vitality.

Group members Sulki Yu (violin), Pei--Jee Ng (cello) and Chiao-Ying Chang (piano) regularly perform at the College, most recently in March of this year. When describing the experience of performing in the trio, Chiao-Ying likened it to working on “…a canvas of a painting, and we are like three artists painting a picture together.”

However, do not be deceived by how easy she makes it seem to play so beautifully. Chiao-Ying has recently been elected an Associate of the Royal Academy of Music (ARAM).

Their recital will feature Astor Piazzolla ‘Summer’ from Four Seasons, a Timothy Salter Piano Trio written for the trio and Robert Schumann’s Piano Trio No. 3 in G Minor, Op 110. Tickets can be purchased from the Oxford Playhouse, (01865 305305) or on the door.
