Traditional Learning Systems in a period of change – a personal reflection Our visitor will explain his own journey through the Tibetan-Buddhist traditional learning systems in India, outlining his background in the tribal area of Kinnaur and the stages by which he came to his current position on the doctoral program of the CIHTS. In this context he will offer some reflections about Himalayan Buddhism in modern India, the challenges and opportunities presented in this changing environment, and the relevance of interaction with the global academy. Followed by a Farewell Reception at 1900.
