Summer VIIIs 2013 Highlights

We had a total of 6 boats racing this year, gaining a net total of 7 places. This year has shown that Wolves stay strong in the toughest of conditions, with wash-outs of Christ Church regatta, red flag throughout most of the winter, and the pack came out only stronger.

The highlight was W1 bumping up into the first division, a result of many years of investment in the women's side of the boat club. M1 maintained their position high up in the first division and are now 5th place on the river, an amazing achievement, especially of the three novices who worked their way up the ranks within the past year.

Besides now having both our first boats in the first divisions, M2 and W2 are steadily climbing up in the divisions, with W2 being the third fastest ‘second' boat. M3 has bumped its way up and is close to being in the fixed divisions: first in line next year! All of this has been made possible with immense support from the college and our pack cheering us on from the banks.
