This programme, established in 2012 and funded by the Andrew W. Mellon Foundation, intends to ‘further the partnership between the Ashmolean and the University's faculties, and to enhance the impact of cross-disciplinary teaching and learning at Oxford'.

To this end, students were invited to attend a session entitled Routes and Roots: Displaying culture in a multi-cultural society where they were given a tour of the galleries and took part in a handling session. One of the students who attended the event called it an ‘incredibly valuable experience', during which she ‘learnt so much'.
