Last night the overarching topic for discussion was ‘Law and Society', and the audience was treated to intriguing talks by Amanda Frickle, a Graduate student who spoke on fetal abuse prosecutions in the United States, Cristina Parau, a Research Fellow who spoke about methodological/puzzle-driven research in the political sciences, and Bettina Lange, Governing Body Fellow, who summarized her research on water regulation among British farmers.

Andy Cutts, a presenter at a previous seminar, praised the effect the experience had had on his own DPhil research, particularly as it gave him a rare opportunity to receive feedback on his research from people outside of his department.
