Wolfson alumni, members, friends and students are invited to leave their mark by sponsoring a chair, workstation, cobblestone or other item in the new Academic Wing and Jon Stallworthy Grove to help raise £500,000 by 30 December 2015.

The campaign will provide the final push in fundraising to support the creation of additional library space to house our valuable and growing collections and to provide a 21st-century study environment for our student body. Due to the involvement of a generous donor, every pound donated will be matched by an additional three pounds.

A core component of this campaign is to capture your memories on the Memory Wall along with photographs and stories. So far over 30 contributions have been made and the target is 50 by the end of the week. The Development Office have teamed up with Funderful to design an impressive interactive platform, where you can search through the Memory Wall, choose an item with which to leave your mark, and compare participation between year groups.

“I hope that the new Granite Quad will be a place where future students can sit, relax and enjoy the view of the new Academic Wing.” Acting President Christina Redfield

Memories have already been flowing in. Alumni contributions range from the early days of Wolfson with Andrew Prentice (1967) to Rosanna Maxted (2014), who contributed a photo from the inaugural Cherwell Day last academic year. Andrew's message captures the spirit of Wolfson in its entirety “My first week at Wolfson was one of total intoxication, not from alcohol, but from the warmth and friendliness that was given to me when I stepped through the front door in September 1967.”
