John W. Adams

Chairman and founder of the Foundation for Law, Justice and Society

John W. Adams is the Chairman and founder of the Foundation for Law, Justice and Society. He served as Captain in the Judge Advocate General Corps of the US Air Force and thereafter worked in private law practice for twelve years. From 1984 to 2004, he was President of Smith Management Company, a New York based investment firm.

Adams has a BA from Rutgers College, a JD from Seton Hall Law School, and an LLM from New York University. In 2001, he was a Visiting Scholar at Wolfson College and a Visiting Fellow at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies. He is an Adjunct Professor in the Political Science department of Rutgers University and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Kenyon Literary Magazine
