Last week Dr Charlotte Allan, Wolfson Junior Research Fellow, appeared in Parliament to present her clinical research on depression among the elderly as part of the 'Set for Britain' competition. Dr Allan was selected to be one of 180 finalists in the competition, which aims to fosters a dialogue between Members of both Houses of Parliament and early-stage researchers.

Dr Allan commented: “Depression in older people is still under-recognised and under-researched. I am delighted to be presenting my research at this high profile conference to raise awareness about this common condition and to increase understanding about its causes.”
