UK Congress on Obesity sees Wolfson JRF awarded

UK Congress on Obesity (UKCO) 2024 was hosted in Oxford, bringing together the latest scientific research and patient perspectives on current issues.

Wolfson JRF Dr. Jack Joyce was awarded both available prizes at the event: the Ken Clare Award which recognises individuals or teams that are facilitating excellent public involvement in research. Jack was awarded for his work in designing a communication intervention to support people living with Type 2 Diabetes to achieve remission.

He was also awarded the Best Poster Prize for his work evaluating whether the National Enhanced Service for Obesity changed primary care staffs’ views over raising weight with patients.
