The Inaugural Adams Lecture: now streaming

Earlier this month, Wolfson was delighted to host author and journalist Dr Gillian Tett as the speaker for the inaugural Adams Lecture. Speaking on the subject of ‘Social Silence: what we are not talking about in today’s political economy’, Dr Tett was the first guest speaker in this new series of named lectures.

The John W. and Lisbeth Adams Lecture series is made possible thanks to a generous donation by Wolfson Honorary Fellow, John Adams. Of the new series, Wolfson President Sir Tim Hitchens said, ā€œI’m delighted that John and Liz Adams are supporting this ten year project. John has been an Honorary Member of Wolfson for many years, and has been instrumental in allowing us to develop our work on Law and Societies. This new annual lecture series will bring eminent speakers from politics, international relations, and the law to Wolfson, to continue our tradition of outstanding named lectures at the College.ā€
