Wolfson College is seeking a proactive and highly organised HR Officer to join our friendly and forward-looking community. Working closely with the HR Manager, you will play a key role in delivering a professional, responsive and high-quality HR service across the College.

This is an excellent opportunity for an HR professional looking to broaden their generalist experience in a friendly and collaborative environment.

As HR Officer, you will be acting as a trusted first point of contact for HR queries and supporting a wide range of activities across the employee lifecycle.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end recruitment and onboarding, working closely with managers to attract and appoint high-quality candidates
  • Providing practical HR advice and guidance to managers and staff on policies, procedures and employee relation matters
  • Delivering a professional, efficient and confidential HR administration service, including contracts, payroll liaison and record-keeping
  • Supporting learning and development initiatives, including organising and potentially delivering training
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement of systems and processes
  • Ensuring compliance with employment law, GDPR and best practice at all times

We are looking for someone who combines strong HR knowledge with excellent interpersonal and organisational skills. You will bring:

  • Solid HR generalist experience, including recruitment and advising managers
  • Up-to-date knowledge of employment law and HR best practice
  • Excellent administrative, organisational and IT skills, with strong attention to detail
  • The ability to communicate clearly and confidently with a wide range of stakeholders
  • A discreet and professional approach when handling sensitive information
  • A collaborative, flexible and proactive mindset, with the ability to prioritise and work under pressure
