Punting at Wolfson

There are 6 punts which are available for use from April to October (weather permitting). You need to apply for punt permit from the Punt Club to book a punt. Apply now.

After you have been granted permission you will be able to book the punts using our Wolf Hub booking system. The Common Room Administrator will grant the permits for the punts and each applicant will be notified when access has been granted.  

Please note that:

  • You need to have completed the Virtual Boathouse tour within the past 4 years to be granted permission to punt.
  • The maximum number of hourly sessions per day is three.
  • Members are only allowed one use of a punt per day.
  • The punts are available daily 09:00 to 22:30 – subject to College commitments.

President's Seminar: 'Gravity and Levity'

The President’s Seminar series provides a platform for the presentation and discussion of some of the fascinating and ground-breaking research that is carried out by Wolfsonians at all career stages.

In this term's seminar Prof Wolfgang de Melo will talk about gravity and levity in Varro, the Roman Grammarian; Dr Felix Tennie will speak on gravity and what we believe to know about it; Mr Alexander Hardie-Forsyth will focus on Laurence Sterne's line of gravitation.

Italian language course by OUIS

The Oxford University Italian Society (OUIS) organises weekly classes open to all those interested in learning Italian. The beginners course is in Wolfson (seminar room 3, but check at the lodge) on Mondays at 19:30. Italian classes at other levels are also organised in different locations.
