Dr Peter Stewart is responsible for the Beazley Archive and a range of other resources, events and projects dedicated to all aspects of Greek and Roman art. He also teaches Greek and Roman art at undergraduate and postgraduate level, including options for the School of Archaeology's MSt in Classical Archaeology.

Stewart specialises in ancient Roman sculpture. His publications include Statues in Roman Society (2003) and two general books on Roman art. Current research interests include Roman provincial art and the early eighteenth-century sculpture collection at Wilton House near Salisbury, for which he is completing the catalogue and history.
