Biography

Tammy is a UKRI Future Leaders Fellow based at the Nuffield Department of Population Health (NDPH). Her main research interest is the role of diet and related factors in health. Her recent research at NDPH has been on the health effects of vegetarian and vegan diets, with a particular focus on cardiovascular disease and bone health.

Tammy was awarded an Oxford Population Health Fellowship in 2021 to lead research in the Dietary Protein and Stroke Consortium.

She was subsequently awarded a UKRI Future Leaders Fellowship in 2023 to develop and lead a programme of research to understand the role of dietary and blood proteins in the development of age-related diseases related to bone and vascular health.

Tammy is a member of the EPIC-Oxford Steering Committee, and also a Module Lead for the Principles of Epidemiology module as part of the MSc in Global Health Science and Epidemiology at NDPH, Oxford.
