Biography
Sue is an experienced economic consultant and researcher at La Trobe University Law School in Melbourne, Australia. She has worked for governments, regulators, international aid agencies and utilities in UK, Australia, China and SE Asia on regulation, pricing and competition policy for many years. Sue’s work has been concerned particularly with sectors where regulation is required because the standard assumptions about competitive markets do not apply, namely the water, energy, transport, finance and health sectors. Her recent academic research work has focused on the interaction between governance and regulation and the implication for quality and performance in the water and long term care sectors.
