Biography

I am an Associate Professor in the Discipline of English at the University of Sydney. My research focuses on early twentieth-century U.S., including African American, literature, print culture and film, and my most recent book is _Silent Film and the Formations of U.S. Literary Culture: Literature in Motion_ (Oxford UP, 2024), While a Visiting Scholar at the Oxford Centre for Life-Writing, I will continue work on my new book project, _Wallace Thurman, 1922-1934: Black Authorship and Print Culture Between the Wars_.

Research Interests
Early 20th-century U.S. literature, silent film, modernism, African American studies.
