Reid Hoffman

Entrepreneur and Venture Capitalist

Hoffman is a former graduate of Wolfson College, earning a M.A. in philosophy as a Marshall Scholar (1993). 

An accomplished entrepreneur, executive, and investor, Hoffman has played an integral role in building many of today’s leading consumer technology businesses. In 2003 he co-founded LinkedIn, the world's largest professional networking service. In 2009 he joined Greylock. He is the co-author of three best-selling books: The Start-Up of You, The Alliance, and Blitzscaling. He is the host of the podcast Masters of Scale.

In 2016 Hoffman gifted $1M to support entrepreneurship at Saïd Business School and across the University of Oxford. His gift was a founding donation for The Oxford Foundry, a new initiative driven by Oxford Saïd in collaboration with other departments, where he also acted as Senior Advisor giving his time and advice to help start and scale new ventures.
