Nahed Ahmed is a Postdoctoral Research Fellow affiliated with Wolfson College and Saïd Business School, supported by a CARA Fellowship. Her research navigates the intersections of technology, female entrepreneurship, and social capital in conflict-affected contexts.
She holds a PhD from York St John University as a HESPAL Scholar, with a thesis titled “Female Entrepreneurship and Social Capital in the Gaza Strip: An Intersectional Approach. With over 15 years of experience in higher education and academic leadership across the UK and MENA region, she is passionate about inclusive, practice-based education and knowledge co-production with marginalised communities.
Nahed is a Senior Fellow of the Higher Education Academy (SFHEA) and a peer reviewer for several academic journals, including the Journal of Business and Socio-economic Development (JBSED). Her work has been published in peer-reviewed journals and Springer-edited volumes. She also mentors early-career researchers and contributes to international development initiatives that support education and entrepreneurship in conflict-affected settings.
