Biography

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Luka Repanšek is a lecturer in Comparative Indo-European Linguistics at the University of Ljubljana, where he also serves as Head of the Department of Comparative and General Linguistics. His teaching covers Vedic, Classical Sanskrit, Old Persian, Avestan, Gothic, Old English, Old Irish, Rigvedic poetry, Middle Vedic prose, Indo-European dialectology, and the comparative grammar of Indo-European languages (comparative nominal, pronominal, and verbal morphology), as well as the theory of historical linguistics. His research focuses on the historical grammar of Indo-Iranian, Celtic, and Germanic, Venetic and other Indo-European Trümmersprachen, as well as pre-Roman onomastics and palaeography.
