Karen Segal’s affection for Wolfson College goes back many decades, as her late husband was a Visiting Fellow in 1978. Erich Segal’s academic life took them from Yale, where he was a Professor of Classics and Comp Lit, to Munich, Princeton, Dartmouth, and Tel Aviv, and Karen’s work as a freelance fiction editor allowed her to travel with him. She has been a judge for the Jewish Quarterly Wingate Literary Prize and is on the committee for Classics for All.
