Biography
I am a Research Fellow in Archaeology with expertise in archaeobotany and computational methods. In my current work with the ERC-funded New Bantu Mosaics project (PI Prof Chirikure), I use archaeobotanical data to investigate the spread of agriculture across southern Africa during the Late Stone Age and Iron Age. During my PhD, I used agent-based models to simulate the formation of increasingly complex human societies in the past with a focus on the formation of the Zapotec society in Mexico.
