Wolfson Basketball Club wins first-ever Cuppers Championship
Wolfson Basketball Club made history last week, claiming the University Basketball Cuppers Championship for the first time!
The road to the final included a thrilling semi-final, settled by a game-winning three-pointer at the buzzer. In the final against Somerville at Iffley Road Sports Centre, Wolfson built an early lead and never let it go, pulling away in the fourth quarter behind clutch performances across the floor to win 58 – 43. The win caps off a season built on commitment, teamwork, and real depth across the mixed squad, drawn from across the college and spanning different disciplines, year groups, and levels of experience.

Thanks to everyone who came out to support the team this season – the energy on the night helped make the final a real occasion. Thanks too to the referees and organisers who keep Cuppers running in the middle of exam term.
