Wolfson appoints new Governing Body Fellow

Wolfson College is delighted to announce the election of Professor James Chalmers to our Governing Body. James is the new Rhodes Professor of Experimental Therapeutics, and works on developing new treatments for acute and chronic lung diseases through experimental medicine and the translation of scientific discoveries into patient benefit. He joins us from Dundee, where during his 18-year stint, he built a vibrant respiratory research community which has made key discoveries in acute and chronic lung infection, working closely with multiple international pharmaceutical companies.
