Professor Frances Gardner awarded ACAMH President’s Medal for Lifetime Contribution to Child and Adolescent Mental Health

Congratulations to Wolfson Governing Body Fellow Professor Frances Gardner who has been awarded the Association for Child and Adolescent Mental Health (ACAMH) President’s Medal in recognition of her lifetime contribution to the field of child and adolescent mental health. ACAMH is the leading UK academic and professional society for child and adolescent mental health.

Professor Gardner, Professor of Child and Family Psychology in Oxford’s Department of Social Policy and Intervention, has led pioneering research for over 30 years on reducing child behaviour problems and violence against children. Her work has had a lasting impact on policy and practice, influencing governments and organisations across the UK, Europe, and around the world.

This latest honour follows her recognition in this year’s King’s Birthday Honours list, underscoring her international influence and decades of dedication to improving the lives of children and families.
