Calling all punting enthusiasts and competitive spirits! The Admiralty are inaugurating the first annual Wolfson Punting Competition, Saturday, 14th June, 3-6 pm. The competition is a time-trialled race (one punt at a time) starting from the dock, to circumnavigate the harbour, to exit the harbour onto the river, and finally to cross the finish line by re-entering the harbour. The winner with the fastest time will be celebrated as a punting hero in college media, and will be awarded a £30 gift voucher (vendor TBD).
Tea sandwiches and Pimm’s will be made available for members of the Punt & River Club. Non-members are welcome to picnic on the harbour lawn and cheer on the competitors! The Cellar Bar will also be open for business.
To enter the race (by deadline 10th June), please contact the Admiralty at punt-river.club@wolfson.ox.ac.uk . Note that you will need to be a member of the Wolfson Punt & River Club to enter the race.
