Join us in the Leonard Wolfson Auditorium for the UK premiere of π˜“π˜°π˜£π˜ͺ𝘡𝘰-π˜‰π˜°π˜Άπ˜―π˜₯, a documentary chronicling the development and impact of the Lobito Economic Corridor, the first open-access transcontinental rail link in Africa.

The route is set to connect Angola to the Democratic People’s Republic of Congo and Zambia, transforming the lives of much of Angola’s population. TV presenter Dwayne Fields (BBC) interviews residents across Angola, the Congo, and Zambia to understand the significance of the corridor and the changing economy of an Africa caught between geopolitical superpowers.

The premiere will feature a Q&A session with Sam Williams (Wolfson College, 2023-15, and executive-producer of Lobito-Bound), Tulinabo Mushingi (U.S. Ambassador to Angola, 2022-24), and Marcia Veiga (BBC World Service). There will also be a free drinks reception from 6:30 PM in the Wolfson Buttery.
