Oxford Conservation Volunteers – a charity gathering people to carry out wildlife conservation projects in our area – will come to Wolfson on Sunday 17th May (starting 9.45am), as part of a long-term plan to restore Wolfson’s ancient floodplain meadows.
Commissioned by the College with advice from Wolfson’s very own ecological experts, this plan is happening in stages over a number of years. This Spring we’re focusing on reinstating the fences on our meadows to help restore the original hedge boundaries, allowing meadow wildflowers to recover. Floodplain meadows are important for biodiversity, carbon capture, flood mitigation and improving water quality.
Meet at the North Car Park at 09.45.
