William Conner has nearly 40 years experience as a management consultant in philanthropy and development. He is the Development Director at Wolfson College and maintains an active consulting practice. Current and recent clients include the Global Leadership Foundation (London), the North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization (Edinburgh), the Oxford Philharmonic, the British Racing Drive Club (Silverstone), the Hellenic and Roman Library (London), the Welcome Trust Centre for Human Genetics (Oxford), the IEA Paris, the Centre des monuments nationaux (Paris), the Jubilee Sailing Trust (Southampton), and a number of Oxford colleges.
Conner was previously a Director of Brakeley Ltd and was the Development Director at New College, University of Oxford. His institutional experience includes the role of Associate Dean for Advancement with the London Business, Director of Development for the San Francisco Opera, and earlier management roles in the arts and higher education.
Current interests include advancing the industry of philanthropy through a number of volunteer commitments. Current trustee involvements include Handel Hendrix House (London), the Piccola Accademia di Montisi (Tuscany), the London Song Festival, VCM Foundation (London), and Marks Hall Estate (Essex). Conner was recently made a Liveryman of the Worshipful Company of Educators (London).
