Rhiannon Evans

Postdoctoral Research Associate, Armstrong Laboratory

College position:

Dr Rhiannon Evans research focuses on ‘hydrogenases’ which oxidise hydrogen to protons and electrons. Such catalysts are of medical and technological importance being involved in the virulence of pathogenic bacteria, and as design inspiration for synthetic hydrogen catalysts. Evans' is interested in how we can study such catalysts using a combination of genetic engineering and protein film electrochemistry, a technique pioneered by Professor Armstrong.
