Dr. Michael Bulmer is a lecturer in Medical Statistics, Manchester (1957-59); Lecturer in Biomathematics, Oxford (1959-91); Professor, Biological Sciences, Rutgers NJ (1991-95). His work has applied statistical and mathematical modelling to biological problems: the physiology of sweat, the human twinning rate, the ten year cycle in Canada, the detection of density dependence, evolution of the sex ratio, quantitative genetics, molecular evolution, the history of genetics.
