Dr Samuel Poncé's work is centred around the development of a first-principles software used to compute the electron-phonon, carrier mobilities and phonon-induced superconductivity properties of periodic solids. Part of this research is also dedicated to the theoretical development of more refined theories to improve the accuracy of our predictions. Finally, he used these tools to compute properties of materials in the field of renewable energy.

Poncé's research is multidisciplinary and spans the computer science, mathematics, materials science, physics and statistics fields.
