Ruggero Sciuto

Junior Research Fellow in French and Digital Editing

College position:

Ruggero Sciuto (MPhil, DPhil Oxford) is a Junior Research Fellow at Wolfson College in association with the Voltaire Foundation. His research focuses on eighteenth-century French literature and philosophy, especially the works of Denis Diderot and Paul-Henri Thiry d'Holbach, and on diplomatic relations between European countries in the Early Modern Period. At Wolfson he is completing a monograph on the theory of determinism jointly advanced by Diderot and d'Holbach, while leading a Mellon-funded project to create a born-digital edition of d'Holbach's complete works and starting a new book project reassessing the genesis, evolution, and reception of d’Holbach’s texts in the broader European context.
