I am a postdoc in the Department of physics working on problems in astronomy and astrophysics. My research focusses on understanding the connection between galaxies and dark matter. I use data from both telescopes around the world that observe astronomical objects directly, as well as high powered laser experiments on Earth that can recreate astrophysical conditions in the lab. Combining these data sets together can give insight into astrophysical processes that would not be possible with just one or the other.
Research interests include: the large-scale structure of the Universe, dark matter, galaxies, novel ICF designs, NIF, multi-wavelength astronomical surveys, the galaxy-halo connection, , hydrodynamical simulations, VISTA, SKA, EUCLID, LSST
