Marco Ferrante is a specialist of classical South Asian philosophy. His research interests focus on epistemology, metaphysics and philosophy of language, with a particular reference to the thought of the 5th c. CE grammarian Bhartá¹›hari and to non-dualistic traditions.
Marco holds a Ph.D in South Asian Studies from Sapienza University of Rome. From 2013 to 2018 he worked as a post-doc researcher at the Austrian Academy of Sciences and lectured at the University of Vienna. He is currently Berggruen Fellow in Comparative Philosophy at Wolfson college, University of Oxford.
