Our Anniversary

Our anniversary in 2016 celebrates fifty years of history and achievements as one of Oxford's leading graduate colleges. We would like you to join us in celebrating our achievements and looking forward to our future producing excellent research and nurturing enterprising minds.

In 1966, Sir Isaiah Berlin was invited to be the College's first President. Through his efforts, generous benefactions were received from the Wolfson Foundation and the Ford Foundation, which enabled the College, renamed as Wolfson, to make provision for graduate students. The first of these were admitted in October 1968.

All members of our global community can celebrate with us. A number of exciting events and activities will be happening throughout the year, and we invite you to celebrate our achievements and the history of the College by attending our unique anniversary events, reading our stories, and sharing your memories. Not only do we want you to look back but also to learn about our ambitious plans for the future.
