Following almost 100 applications from 33 participating colleges, Team Bedqueue, representing Wolfson College, made it through shortlisting, bootcamp and final judging to be chosen as ‘Best Postgraduate Idea’ 2021 at the All-Innovate Trinity Final 2021.

All-Innovate is Oxford’s inter-college competition, run by the Oxford Foundry which helps turn student entrepreneurial ideas into business propositions. Students across all courses (undergraduate, postgraduate and DPhil) put forward their innovative ideas, and are then put through a rigorous shortlisting process for the chance to win the top prize of £10,000, with two runner-up ideas also winning £5,000 each.

Representing Wolfson College, Team Bedqueue put forward an application proposal, which was then selected to pitch at the shortlisting bootcamp alongside over 50 fellow semi-finalists. During the bootcamp they received feedback and guidance from the judges to support their pitch as they progressed. Following this, the team were selected as 1 of 10 finalists and went onto pitch to the finalist judges, including Rodrigo Madanes, Product Director EY, Michael Tefula, Head of Finance at Tickr and Tong Gu, Investor at ADV.

Winning the competition means they will be awarded £5,000 of grant funding to support the development of their idea, which plans to help remove inefficiencies in health systems.

All judges throughout the competition were impressed with the quality and standard of all applications and Team Bedqueue certainly did Wolfson proud!
