Wolfson pays tribute to Queen Elizabeth II

Wolfson mourns Queen Elizabeth II, Great Britain's longest reigning monarch, who came to college in 1968 to lay the College’s foundation stone. 

The University of Oxford has a long history of links with the British Royal Family and Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II. As part of her duties, The Queen visited the University on a number of occasions over the years for openings and anniversaries of various colleges and university buildings.

Service of thanksgiving and remembrance 

The University will hold a service of thanksgiving and remembrance, giving an opportunity for representatives of the staff and student bodies to pay their respects to The Queen.
