Wolfson congratulates Peter Stewart and Ruben Andersson, who have been awarded a Recognition of Distinction award.

Peter Stewart, University Lecturer in Classical Art and Archaeology and Governing Body Fellow at Wolfson, specialises in ancient Roman Sculpture. On receiving the award, he said, "I am delighted to have become Professor of Ancient Art in this year's Recognition of Distinction exercise. The title itself reflects my interests in researching and teaching not only my specialism in Greek and Roman art, but also the connections between the classical world and other ancient art traditions, notably in Central Asia, India, and China. The connectedness of ancient world cultures is an exciting area of study, which I hope to explore further in my next book."

Ruben Andersson is an Associate Professor in Migration and Development, and a Governing Body Fellow at Wolfson. He works on migration, borders and security with a focus on the West African Sahel and Southern Europe. Ruben commented that the Recognition of Distinction was a positive thing to hear about in such gloomy times.
