Wolfson Junior Research Fellow Cailah Jackson has been awarded the 2021 Dionisius A. Agius Prize for her book tracing the art of calligraphy and illumination in Arabic and Persian manuscripts.

Covering manuscripts produced in Anatolia in the late medieval period, the book is entitled Islamic Manuscripts of Late Medieval Rum, 1270s-1370s: Production, Patronage and the Arts of the Book. It's based on Cailah's DPhil thesis, which she completed in 2017 under the supervision of Wolfson Governing Body Fellow Zeynep Yürekli.
