The announcement was made after a decision by the Governing Body on Wednesday 21 November and is in line with the University of Oxford newly introduced scheme to pay for all of the university's EU employees.

Sir Tim Hitchens says: "In the midst of the Brexit uncertainty, I want to ensure that those EU nationals working at Oxford are supported in any way that we can. They you are a vital and welcome part of College and University life, and I have discussed with the Vice Chancellor ways in which we can provide a little more certainty."

The College's commitment means it will support all staff, JRF, RF and their close family from the European Union wishing to apply for settlement or pre-settlement status in the UK.
