At the start of October, Harriss-White together with Lucia Michelutti published the collection "The Wild East". It is based on 11 case studies of South Asian Criminal Economies and bridges political economy and anthropology to examine a variety of legal and illegal economic sectors and businesses. The case studies, based across India, Pakistan and Bangladesh, explore how state regulative law is often ignored and/or selectively manipulated. Please join the South Asia Research Cluster for the book launch on 6 November.

The book was published by UCL Press.
