Tim Hitchens has officially received his knighthood from the Queen and describes the moment as "very special".

The former Ambassador to Tokyo was honoured at an investiture ceremony at Windsor Castle on Friday for his service to The Queen.

Sir Tim, who worked for 35 years in the public service, including four years working for The Queen, said "I'm delighted. It is a very nice recognition of the work done as one phase of my life comes to an end and another, here at Wolfson, begins.”
