William Conner, Development Director of Wolfson College, will deliver a talk on gift fundraising entitled 'The Art and Science of Major Gift Fundraising: A life with Tycoons and Philanthropists'.
In the course of his lecture, Conner will examine the state of gift fundraising today. With 40 years of experience as a management consultant in philanthropy and development, his interests include advancing the industry of philanthropy through a number of volunteer commitments.
Conner said, “The business of philanthropy in the UK and the industry of seeking philanthropic gifts has changed profoundly over the past 20 years. My journey of introducing best American practice has been over a steep learning curve with many unexpected twists and turns along the way.”
William Conner was previously a director of Brakely Ltd and was the Development Director at New College, University of Oxford. He has been with Wolfson since 2008.
