The edited work is entitled 'Regulatory Transformations: Rethinking Economy and Society Interactions' and was co-edited by Fiona Haines of the University of Melbourne and Dania Thomas of the University of Glasgow and has been published by Hart Publishing, Oxford.

This rich, multidisciplinary collection engages with a critical theme - harnessing the regulatory capacity of a social sphere - which recognizes the embeddedness of economic transactions within a social and political landscape. A key strength of this book is its integration of three distinct areas of scholarship: Karl Polanyi's economic sociology, regulation studies and socio-legal studies of transnational hazards.

Bettina Lange is Associate Professor in Law and Regulation at the Centre for Socio-Legal Studies at Oxford University, where her teaching and research focuses on EU environmental regulation, socio-legal research methods, and theories of regulation.
